PROGRAMME OUTCOMES:

At the end of this programme, the students will learn to explain the cause and effect of important events, to analyse and evaluate both evidence and arguments, to think, read and write critically about the past and to engage in independent historical research.

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES:

This programme will enable the students to be acquainted with the range of issues related to Indian History and its distinctive eras. They will be able to objectively interpret History, understand the change and impact of the revolutionary events and realize the role of social reform movements in the development of modern India. The students will be able to develop an inclination to do specialized research in the fields of Freedom Movement, Women liberation, unearthing the past - archaeology etc., and thereby contribute to the development of the society.
